The Yin Yang theory of Tai Chi also
applies to Feng Shui and is found both in the Form stream and
Compass stream.
All of us know that the Tai Chi
consists of two parts - black and white. Black and white represent
Yin and Yang (also feminine and masculine) respectively.
Tai Chi and the Earlier Heaven Bagua
are related. Kan (the bottom trigram of Bagua) is the strongest Yin
and the Qian (the top trigram of Bagua) is the strongest Yang. This
is why the diagram of Tai Chi starts in black from the bottom and
becomes white at the top. The white dot in black and the black dot
in the white show there will always be Yang in Yin and Yin in
Yang.
Like Feng Shui, Tai Chi Chuan (Taiji
Quan) is also misunderstood by many people. The general impression
of Tai Chi Chuan is an exercise for seniors. This is because the
slow movements when we practice Tai Chi Chuan. Actually, Tai Chi
Chuan is a form of martial art and can be very fast when it is
applied in combat.
Tai Chi Chuan was developed based on
the theory of Tai Chi - from nothing to one, and from
one to two. The two means Yin and Yang. Tai
Chi Chuan emphasizes smooth and curved movements and the application
of directional postures. The body movements are also related to
Bagua - the eight different directions.
Tai Chi Chuan is also a kind of Chi Kung (Qi Gong) that it is an
exercise to train the abdominal breathing. Bryan knows a very
effective and simple form of Tai Chi Chi Kung and can share with you
when you meet him.
